Mountain Mist

I don't know what to say about this photograph. However, I can at least tell you that I took it on a road trip through the Great Sand Dunes National Park (two other posts: here and here). After being in Colorado for two years, I love watching the mountains the weather that surrounds them. It can change through out the day and can be completely different than the weather below or it can be used to predict the weather that is about to come your way. I guess this is an attempt to capture that magic.

Sand Dunes!

This is another photograph from my road trip home. This was taken in the Great Sand Dunes National Park. Although it's not well known outside of Colorado, it should be. These are not the sand dunes you see at the beach, these dunes are huge and at the base of a beautiful mountain range with a beautiful (yet chilly) river wrapping around them. The hike up to the top of the dunes is not an easy one (neither is the hike down), but the view is definitely worth it. I took this shot on our hike up to the top.
